Dot NAME Domains

Set up in 2001, the .NAME domain name extension is the only one meant for personal sites only. These domain names can be personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other designations people are known by. At the beginning, just 3rd-level registrations were possible, so if you wished to purchase john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already acquired third-level names remained functional.

Through our firm, you can register your .NAME domain for a period between one and ten years. You will be able to change the WHOIS contacts, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an existing domain to our firm if you have its EPP transfer code from the present domain registrar and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been finalized. There are no specific prerequisites on who can acquire a .NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the goal behind its establishment alive, the Registry organization may verify who the owner is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration might be challenged.
